Composed of fine coal dust agglomerated to make a small black ball, smooth and more or less round, the coal ball was once used daily for heating and cooking in family homes during mining in the North. Pas-de-Calais.Inspired by this heritage, the set of three table balls ALL x Aequo.design is reinvented here in the form of a kitchen utensil, directly linked to heat: a universal trivet, decorative object unique and offbeat which allows you to place all types of dishes. Indispensable in everyday life, it was a guest in the homes of thousands of families during mining in Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
The balls are made of enameled ceramic, a heat-resistant material. The ALL brand is embossed into the ball in the manner of industrial markings of the time.
The set of three balls is packaged in a small bag made with fabrics recovered from raw materials and embroidered by Potencier embroidery.
